October 2021 —

We are still your best place for a peaceful walk (socially distanced naturally).

July 2021 —
We are not out of the woods yet. The Delta variant is worrying. It spreads fast.
Skokie has a very good vaccination rate. but not perfect.

    • 73 percent of Skokie’s total population
    • 87 percent of Skokie residents age 18 and above
    • 97 percent of Skokie residents age 65 and above
    • and about 2500 teenagers
    • and of course, the €œLittles€ are not yet eligible for vaccination

That still leaves a margin for caution.

Be careful out there,

but enjoy the park

March 2020—
€œThese are times that try men€™s souls €œ. Thomas Paine€™s words take on a new meaning these days. We honored Governor Pritzker’s “Shelter in Place” announcement to stay at home effective March 21, 2020.  And as these restrictions have been  eased,  we ask that you keep safe distances while visiting the park. Our docent-led tours are suspended for the duration.

See you back soon, we hope.

We remain a perfect place to clear and calm your mind and soul.  We do ask that you maintain safe distances and mask up.  The paths are relatively snow cleared, but tread carefully.    We want to you to be safe, our friends.

Take care of yourself and others during these trying Times.
