Every other year we Search for a sculptor in the Weinberg Biennial Sculpture competition.
The Lewis C. Weinberg Sculpture Competition, a biennial event, honors Mr. Weinbergs love for art and his deep interest in the Skokie Northshore Park. The Competition in 2019 was the sixth time an artist has been chosen to have his or her sculpture installed on the special pedestal in Weinberg Circle. Artists interested in having a sculpture considered for the next competition in 2023 may do so by completing the on-line application below or by submitting a standard mail application before the July 24, 2023 deadline. Artists from the states bordering Illinois are eligible. The winning artist receives a $3,000 prize and all installation, transportation and travel costs are covered by the Weinberg family.
